The establishment of the department of plant production techniques with could be considered as an effective educational and scientific light source that would shine upon and nurture the Iraqi society and civilization and the Arabic nation in general with efficient technical out coms to meet their qualitative needs. Provided with the requirements higher educational quality that possesses symbolic training such as Internal, smart boards and specialized and technical member staff with high educational degrees, and scientific skills in the area of agricultural specialties which utilizes both open source education and distant learning.

Mission:-

preparation or grooming technical agricultural staff capable of advancing agriculture, using practical and technical skills that quality them to carry out agricultural plants and programs, and have the ability of continuous innovation by applying modern techniques to secure continuous success and development.

Objectives:-

Preparing quailed technical staff in plant biological techniques in the fields of plant improvement, propagation, production of horticultural and field crops and protection from pests and diseases.

The department aims towards producing a work force capable of working within the main a spets of biological techniques as follows:-

1- Genetic engineering programs to improve plant production.

2- Establishment of field and horticultural crops projects.

3- Establishment of beekeeping projects.

4- Management of field and agricultural projects.

5- Working in cereal laboratories.

6- Make use of tunnels and plastic houses for vegetable production.

7- Working in nurseries and propagation of floriculture plants.
