The Department of Animal Production Technologies, with its advanced scientific staff, laboratories, fields, farms, and projects, aspires to become a scientific center that contributes to the development of the livestock sector in Iraq by supplying the labor market with qualified agricultural technical engineering personnel.

Department Mission

The Department of Animal Production Technologies is committed to graduating agricultural technical engineering cadres holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees who are fully prepared to enter the labor market with confidence, possessing the skills and capabilities required to work in and manage animal production projects.

Department Objectives

Through the development of academic curricula and the provision of model laboratories, animal fields, fish hatcheries, and fish farms, the Department of Animal Production Technologies aims to graduate qualified personnel capable of working in the following fields:

• Management of poultry hatcheries and farms.
• Management of sheep and calf fattening projects.
• Management of dairy production and processing projects.
• Management of hatchery and fish farming projects.
• Training and developing the skills of workers in the animal production sector.
• Improving animal nutrition and developing alternative feed resources.
• Providing scientific and practical consultations to breeders and those interested in the animal production sector.
