Establishment of the Agricultural Technical College

About the College

The Agricultural Technical College / Mosul is one of the formations of the Northern Technical University. Established in 2011 in Mosul, Nineveh Governorate, the college is dedicated to preparing specialized technical cadres in various agricultural fields.

Scientific Departments

The college includes the following specialized departments for both Morning and Evening studies:

  • Department of Plant Production Techniques.

  • Department of Animal Production Techniques.

  • Department of Desertification Control Techniques.

  • Department of Medicinal Plants and Natural Products.

  • Department of Biotechnology and Food Sciences.

Degrees and Certification

  • Undergraduate: The college awards a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Technology.

  • Postgraduate: The college awards a Master’s degree in Agricultural Technology in the fields of Plant and Animal Production Techniques.

  • Future Prospects: The college is currently in the process of establishing a Ph.D. program in Animal Production Techniques.

Professional Title and Admissions

  • Professional Title: Graduates are designated as “Agricultural Technical Engineer.”

  • Admissions: The college accepts graduates from both the Scientific branch (High School) and the Vocational Agricultural branch.
