Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Jasim Fathi Ali Al-Maadhedi, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajari, the Plant Production Techniques Department at the Agricultural Technical College organized a scientific seminar entitled (Genetically Modified Foods). The seminar was lectured by Asst. Prof. Dr. Haitham Abdulstar Saeed. It covered the definition of genetically modified foods, prominent techniques used in their production, and discussed their benefits, challenges, and implications for food security, health, and environment, aiming to enhance scientific awareness among students and participants. A number of faculty members and staff of the college participated in the seminar.
