The Department of Medicinal Plants and Natural Products Technologies was established in 2023 AD, and is concerned with preparing scientific and technical cadres specialized in the cultivation and production of medicinal and aromatic plants, and the extraction of natural products of medical, pharmaceutical and nutritional importance, in a way that contributes to the development of the pharmaceutical, aromatic and cosmetic industries sector, and supports the trend towards alternative medicine and the preservation of plant resources.
